About the role

Position Summary:

The Department of Political Science at Rollins College invites applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. We seek a broadly trained comparative scholar with expertise in Latin America. Other Global South interests will also be considered. Ph.D. at time of appointment is preferred, but an ABD will be considered.

The successful candidate will also have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in a liberal arts institution. The regular visiting teaching load is four courses per semester, including one course yearly for our general education program.

Minimum Qualifications and Education: 

  • Ph.D. (or ABD) in Political Science with a specialization in comparative politics.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence in a liberal arts institution.
  • Record of scholarly activity showing strong potential for future publication.
