The 787 EACS Value Stream Customer Operations Lead acts as the responsible point of contact for all Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality throughout the product life cycle for the Value Stream. The Operations Lead is responsible for being the key point of contact between, supply chain, production, quality and logistics and the customer facing value stream. The customer ops lead will be a key member for the customer facing value stream IPT that represents all operations for that customer within Environmental and Airframe Control Systems (EACS). This role will be responsible for managing a specific value stream scope of part numbers, as well as managing two 787 operations leads and pulling together the 787 overall view.
What You Will Do
- Actively drives culture of Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and adherence to the Quality Cardinal Rules
- Partner with the product line in assessing risk to meeting customer production rate and develop action plans where required.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites, supply chain, product line, and engineering to develop plan to achieve customer requirements
- Effectively communicate recovery plans to the value stream and support customer calls
- Identify risk and opportunities that create an impact to the program and communicate accordingly
- Drive rapid closure to issues as they arise, including quality, sub-tier and operational excellence issues
- Strong leadership and energetic participation in site-wide cost reduction activity at all levels
- Lead 787 Operations Lead organization and associated cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPT) to achieve program industrialization objectives
- Drive individual development and performance of direct reports
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience leading a cross-functional team to achieve program goals and directives
- Experience with demand planning
- Experience utilizing ERP Master data requirements and MRP processes to plan complex business processes
- Experience with industrial execution as well as developing and implementing strategy for manufacturing activity
- Experience maintaining an achievable master production schedule based on demand, lead time, capacity constraints, inventory strategies, and materials availability
- Prior customer communication experience
