Job Description
The Educational Program Director reports to the Senior Educational Program Director within the Dispute Resolution and Monitoring section of BEESS. The role involves leading and motivating staff, developing work plans, setting performance standards, providing training, and ensuring effective communication and resource use. It includes contributing to federal reporting, collaborating on data reviews, and preparing reports for the State Performance Plan and Bureau Strategic Plan. Responsibilities also include developing self-assessment and monitoring processes, providing technical assistance on exceptional student education (ESE) compliance, and representing the bureau in various forums. Additionally, staying current with laws, assisting in policy development, and ensuring legal compliance are key, along with guiding the creation of Reports of Inquiry for state complaints. The position focuses on leadership, collaboration, and support for bureau objectives.
