Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Estimator to join the team in Kent, WA Or El Segundo, CA. This Phantom Works based position offers relocation and a referral bonus based on eligibility.    


As an Experienced Estimator, you will be responsible for the development of estimates (labor, material, Other Direct Costs (ODC) and cost/price proposals for new business activities. This assignment may support multiple Phantom Works division teams and a variety of internal and external customers.

Phantom Works is a sophisticated research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through groundbreaking visual modeling and simulation; innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies; prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs; and developing new businesses and entering new markets.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in evaluation of requests for proposal

  • Develop basis of estimates to support proposal and technical requirements

  • Perform analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

  • Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals and other related business decision data

  • Identify, assess and implement changes to processes, tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management, Marketing & Sales)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance

  • Understanding of proposal process & experience using data analysis to drive decision making

  • Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions

  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Summary pay range: $90,100- $121,900
