Lead Reservationist

  • Provides ongoing training to Reservationists.
  • Observes, assists and monitors the call center to ensure that Reservationists are performing their duties and functions effectively.
  • Performs technical analyses and recommends service improvements; Develops strategies for enhancement of transit service and effective utilization of manpower and equipment.
  • Analyzes call volume and individual performance indications via Avaya software analytics.
  • Maintains, Updates and manages the routing/optimal schedule choices activities; Accesses and analyzes operations reports and makes recommendations.
  • Researches and analyzes scheduled trip requests using scheduling software.
  • Develop and prepare reports using system data.
  • Serves as the point of contact for agencies such as Fort Bend Seniors, Caring People, Texana and Catholic Charities.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintain the Guaranteed Ride Home Program; Consults with contractor to provide this service when requests are received.
  • Assists with taking reservations only during heavy call times.
  • Assigns tasks, provides training, guidance and direction as needed to ensure workflow efficiency; Identifies, recommends and coordinates enrolment in training courses, seminars and other in-service programs to assist operations staff in improving work performance; Approve time-office requests, reviews and approves time sheets and employee performance appraisals as required; Investigates, prepares, and conducts counseling, disciplinary and/or termination actions as required; Recommends new hires, transfers/promotions, and salary increases; Monitors and verifies work activities to ensure compliance with established federal and state laws and regulations as well as accuracy, proper work methods, techniques and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
  • Serves as back-up to the Scheduler, as needed.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • 3 years of job related experience in transit scheduling.
  • Strong computer skills; strong verbal and written communication, math and/or accounting; management and supervisory skills.  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees and elected officials.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • College degree preferred.

SALARY: $22.51 Min-$33.77-Max/HOURLY
