Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is hiring a General Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep and safety of our facilities, vehicles, and equipment. In this role, you will perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and inspections to ensure buildings and grounds remain safe, functional, and presentable at all times. This position plays a key part in maintaining KMHS operations in support of our mission and ensuring a high level of customer service to staff, clients, and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform building maintenance and repairs, including painting, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, sheetrock, roofing, glazing, locks, landscaping, and minor electrical work.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial and residential equipment and building systems.
• Complete routine and scheduled preventive maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Maintain facility logs and records, including fire logs and other compliance documentation as required by state, county, or local authorities.
• Perform vehicle maintenance, including safety inspections, routine service scheduling, and ensuring vehicles remain clean and operational.
• Identify, order, and maintain supplies, replacement parts, and tools needed for repairs and servicing.
• Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe handling of chemicals, and adherence to labeling, mixing, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide 24-hour on-call support as scheduled.
• Assist with custodial tasks when assigned, including hard floor and carpet care.
• Promptly report facility or equipment damage, suspicious activity, security risks, or safety hazards to the Facilities Supervisor.
