Our El Segundo-based Flight Software development team is looking to hire an experienced Senior Principal Software Engineer to be part of unique, advanced Space-based Sensors development center.

Clearance and Citizenship requirement:

• Must have an active or current DoD Secret Clearance. U.S. citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain a security clearance.

Required Skills/Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant software development experience, preferably in product engineering
• Must have some demonstrated experience in software architecture
• Experience with real-time embedded programming in C/C++ and Python
• Experience debugging integration issues during testing that involves software, firmware and hardware components.
• Experience working across disciplines [hardware, systems including IV&V]
• Prior knowledge of Space/related software and hardware
• Must be able to work onsite, in a Lab environment.
• Prior experience working with proposals, providing solutions, interacting with Customer is highly desirable.
• Bachelor's Degree in related field from an accredited University

The salary range for this role is 123,000 USD - 259,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
