Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior-Lead Level Java Engineer to engineer and deliver microservices and APIs supporting Customer Data. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java 8+, cloud technologies, containerization, data streaming, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. This role involves leading the delivery of strategic roadmaps, defining project scopes, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Actively participate in all Scrum ceremonies and lead the delivery of strategic roadmap projects.
• Define project scope and specifications, estimate resources needed to develop solutions, and ensure specifications are clearly articulated to development teams.
• Propose technical solutions and ensure the delivery of well-designed, high-quality, fully functional, tested features, fixes, and enhancements.
• Responsible for the full application development lifecycle and ongoing support.
• Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
• Provide subject matter expertise and offer direction, guidance, and support on complex projects.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Java 8+.
• 4+ years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 4+ years of experience with container technologies (Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes or EKS).
• 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and HTTP/REST protocols.
• 4+ years of experience with test automation (e.g., JBehave, Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit).
• Proven track record in an Agile/Scrum team environment.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience with streaming/messaging technologies such as Kafka, NATS, Kinesis, or Event Hub.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Datadog or New Relic.
• Experience with Elastic Search, Apigee, or similar technologies.
