Your Role:
As a Material Control Clerk at EMD Electronics, you will be pivotal in managing the flow of materials crucial for production. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad range of tasks including the receipt, storage, issuance, packaging, and delivery of raw materials and equipment. This role requires diligent management of inventory and ensures that materials are ready and available for production and shipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Storing Materials: Inspect and store incoming materials and equipment adequately in the storeroom.
- Packaging and Labeling: Wrap, weigh, stencil, and label materials and products according to company standards.
- Material Handling: Utilize pick lists to gather materials and deliver them to various production zones including manufacturing areas, offices, and cleanroom pass-throughs.
- Inventory Management: Perform regular inventory counts, package products, and execute transactions in SAP and other software systems.
- Shipping and Order Fulfillment: Prepare products for shipment, ensuring that packaging meets customer requirements and products are shipped correctly.
Physical Attributes:
- Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at waist or knee height
- Capable of pushing or pulling 200lb metal boxes on wheels
- Must use steps and reach over a tilting lift table for material handling
- Requires full range of motion with arms and legs
- Role involves both sitting for data entry and moving around for material handling
This is a 1st shift position Monday-Friday 6am-2:30pm.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in using hand tools (hammers, saws, pneumatic stapler, nail kit)
- Experience with powered industrial trucks (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in shipping software and SAP
- Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while adhering to safety standards and process controls
- Capable of both independent and teamwork
