As an Industrial Security Specialist II, you will play a key role in executing day-to-day security operations and supporting both collateral-level and Special Access Programs (SAPs), ensuring that Esri`s people, facilities, and information remain secure. You will work closely with internal teams and government agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies, while helping to shape and maintain a strong security culture. Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Vienna, VA area for this position.
Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day security operations across personnel, physical, and information security domains
- Support both collateral level DoD programs and special access programs for various Government agencies
- Guide employees through the e-QIP process, including professional review of SF86/SF85 forms
- Maintain and update security documentation, including SOPs, security plans, and training materials
- Participate in security self-inspections, audits and facility certifications in accordance with NISPOM, ICD, and other federal regulations
- Deliver and enhance security awareness and training programs
- Enforce company policies and procedures according to 32 CFR Part 117, DD254s, and contract requirements
- Participate in clearance suitability pre-screenings
- Coordinate with internal teams and external government agencies to ensure compliance and alignment
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security systems and document control processes
- Assist with managing Physical Security of multiple local facilities in compliance with DCSA and ICD 705 requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts under the guidance of senior security staff and FSOs
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position supporting industrial, government, or DoD security operations
- Working knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, and related federal security regulations
- Familiarity with OPSEC procedures and application of OPSEC to Sensitive Government information (FOUO, CUI)
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- US citizenship and willingness and ability to maintain a US Security Clearance
- Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice, Security, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field
Recommended Qualifications
- Experience with DISS/NBIS, SWFT, eQIP/eAPP
- Familiarity with Access Commander or similar security management software
- Membership in professional security organizations (such as NCMS, ISAC, ISWG)
- Prior experience supporting SAPs or high-side environments
- Understanding of document control and classified information handling procedures
- Master's in Criminal Justice, Security, Business Administration, Information Systems or related field
