The Nurse Extern II is currently enrolled in a School of Nursing and who has successfully completed two Clinical Nursing courses. When on duty, he/she assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic patient care which is designed to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient. The Nurse Extern II may also be cross trained to perform unit Secretary clerical duties. The nurse Extern II may perform nursing practice interventions which have been learned within his/her clinical training and which have been successfully validated by an RN staff member. The Nurse Extern II may perform the job duties of the Nurse Extern I under the supervision of a Registered Nurse as necessary.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Completion of the second Clinical Nursing course within an accredited school of Nursing Program.
EXPERIENCE:
Completed Fundamentals/2nd clincals completed
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:
BLS Certification/ ACLS

Education: Experience:Preferred: 6 months of related experience.
Certifications:Required: CNA certification in current state and BLS certification.
