Hourly Rate Range: $20.00- $23.00

 

When determining a base salary or hourly rate, several factors may be considered as applicable such as years of relevant experience, education, credentials.

 

2nd Shift Differential: $1.60

 

3rd Shift Differential: $0.85 

 

Weekend Differential: $2.00 

 

Sign on Bonus: $2,500

We have an exciting opportunity for full-time Certified Nursing Assistant's to provide residents with routine nursing care in accordance with established CH policies and procedures in Heritage Manor. Heritage Manor offers four specialized areas of care: Skilled Nursing Care, Dementia Care, Bolger Short-term Rehab and In-patient Hospice. Providing the best care starts with having the best people. A full-time medical director is on staff and coordinates a highly skilled team that includes: On-site physicians, Dietitians, Clinical nurse specialists, Geriatric nurse practitioners, Chaplains, Psychiatrists, Social workers and Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists. Together, these team members create an individualized care plan for each resident designed to meet their unique needs. Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.

 

Schedule: Full Time, Shifts available: 7:00am-3:00pm, 3:00pm-11:00pm,11:00pm -7:00am. Monday - Friday and Every Other Weekend required.

 

Education:

  • High school education required.
  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant certification required. 

Competencies:

  • Supports the medical/clinical needs of the resident by transporting and timely preparation for rehabilitation therapy, medical tests, and consultation/physician appointment. Collects timely and accurate specimens, vital signs, weights and measurements. Reports findings to nurse or other appropriate clinicians. 
  • Demonstrates receptiveness to new ideas, and responsiveness to constructive criticism. 
  • Contributes to the overall care, concern and comfort of all residents on the wings. Assist unit as deemed necessary. 
  • Appropriately encourages residents to participate in self-care of ADLs as part of their rehabilitation and/or maintenance of abilities. 
  • Assists in the maintenance and enhancement of the residents personal space and environment by making beds, maintaining room temperature, assuring personal preferences of stimulation are offered/supplied i.e.: music, radio, snoezlen, activity box. Assures all equipment, furnishings and space is clean and in good repair. 
  • Provides accurate and appropriate feedback, communication and evaluation to resident and family regarding care provided by CNAs. Refers clinical/medical questions to nurse or appropriate clinicians. 
  • Follows standard Precautions Guidelines for Infection Control. Reports any communicable or infectious disease to the shift Supervisor. Follows established isolation precautions and procedures. 
  • Provides personal care to residents with a focus on resident preferences in regard to how and when care is provided for meal assistance, feeding, washing, bathing, mouth care, dressing, hair care, nail care, shaving and bed/chair positioning. 
  • Follows the plan of care in handheld PDA assigned residents. Provides timely and accurate documentation. 
  • Helps to improve or maintain resident’s level of functioning and health status through proactive and timely assistance with bowel and bladder functions. Recording intake and output, ambulation, transfer, range of motion, use of assistive devices/splints. Appropriate use of restraints, per policy.
