Get to Know the Opportunity:
This position is the supervisor over monthly/quarterly accounting and reporting for Fixed Assets. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the accounting close and reconciliation processes, supervision of onshore/offshore staff, and partnering with internal partners to ensure adherence to the Company’s fixed asset accounting policies.
Please Note: Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. This role does require Eastern Standard Time work hours.
The Contributions You'll Make:
- Responsible for supervising monthly and quarterly fixed assets accounting and reporting
- Review journal entries for monthly close process and manage account reconciliations while adhering to accounting policies
- Reviews corporate accounting related deliverables to financial reporting teams to ensure the timely, accurate completion of U.S. GAAP and statutory reporting financial reports for all required filings
- Stays abreast of new capitalization activity and assists with technical accounting research.
- Performs advanced problem solving and complex analysis
- Organizes and manages projects to completion; leads implementation of process improvements
- Leads other analysts in establishing, modifying, documenting, and implementing accounting and reporting processes and control procedures
- Manages associates within the function including completion of assigned duties and accounting and reporting responsibilities, coaching, feedback, and development planning
- Support the interim and year-end financial statement audit
- Coordinates personal property tax return and payment activity with internal and external partners
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Knowledge & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related field
- CPA required
- 7-10+ years corporate and public accounting experience required including fixed assets
- Managerial experience required
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to effectively and clearly communicate and influence others including senior leadership
- A self-starter, self motivated, self disciplined and performance driven
