IT (Information Technology) Site Reliability – Azure Cloud Administrator

Salary: Starting $90,000/y

U-Haul is seeking an Azure Cloud Administrator to join the IT Site Reliability team. This role will be responsible for building and supporting our cloud infrastructure as we transition to a hybrid cloud environment.

Duties:

• Build and Maintain Azure Cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Help maintain Azure Cloud backups using CommVault
• Maintain and configure Azure cloud networks
• Work with engineers and architects to build and support new cloud solutions
• Create standards for Azure hosting environments, as well as research and development of new processes
• Handle escalations to assist with complex issues in our Azure environment, including Azure Kubernetes, Azure Gateways, VM Scale Sets, etc
• Maintain and design new Azure Cloud automations using Azure PowerShell
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in the event of a catastrophic failure
• Manage and maintain permissions for other teams
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Azure cloud computing
• Support and coach team members with complex technical issues via Microsoft Teams and email
• Work with vendors providing professional services or support
• Generate and update comprehensive documentation for processes and standards in our environment

Preferred Skills/Knowledge:

• Experience with real time sync to/from Azure (Zerto, ASR, etc)
• Experience with Cloud backups using 3rd party products (CommVault, etc)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible
• Experience working in an Azure environment managing products like Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Gateways, Azure VDI’s, VM scale sets, etc
• Experience with Azure networking
  • Experience working with ExpressRoute's is a plus
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience with F5 Big IP
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with Scripting (bash, PowerShell, Python)
• Experience working with SCRUM and/or Agile
• Experience working with CI/CD deployments (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gitlab, Travis, etc)

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience in cloud platform engineering or operations
• 2+ years experience working with PowerShell scripts and automation
