Job Summary
Black & Veatch’s Asset Management group has grown rapidly and has an exciting opportunity for a professional interested in applying their knowledge to manage and execute asset management projects to solve the challenges faced by utilities including water, wastewater, electric and gas. The lifecycle management of assets is a strategic growth area for the firm and provides exciting career possibilities and potential for interested professionals. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in engineering and asset management related fields, and will have a strong interest in facility condition assessment, risk-based prioritization, asset management plan development, and optimizing the performance of critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and manage technical work for the following type of projects:
- Asset management assessments and strategy development
- Facility condition assessments
- Asset management plan development
- Risk and resilience assessments
- Business case evaluations and capital project prioritization
- Serve as the project coordinator or engineering manager on asset management projects locally and nationally. Orchestrate tasks, manage resources, and monitor schedule and budget.
- Provide asset management technical subject matter expertise on projects. Perform data analysis and calculations, and develop technical reports.
- Work directly with clients, and lead meetings and workshops.
- Support business development activities and lead development of scopes, schedules and budgets.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE license
- IAM Certificate in Asset Management
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Experience leading project teams and executing projects related to asset management planning and facilities management
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 8 years related work experience.
