Senior Financial Manager SME- DoD Space Programs

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Financial Manager SME to join our team at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAFB). This position requires an active Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI. You will serve as an integrator, providing expert guidance and support for Department of Defense (DoD) financial management, particularly in space programs. This role demands a strong background in financial management systems, reporting, and operational support within a defense-focused environment

WORK SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday
COMPENSATION: $72.00 -$78.00 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Provide expert-level financial management guidance and solutions in compliance with DoD standards.
- Act as a liaison and integrator for complex financial management operations.
- Support and enhance space program financial assignments, particularly within AFSPC and SSC programs.
- Oversee and manage workflows within financial management software, including CCAR, FM Suite, and WAWF.
- Develop and deliver reports using Microsoft Office tools for data analysis and presentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize financial performance and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure all financial processes align with DoD regulations and policies.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Education:
- Master's degree in a related field, such as Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Science, Technology, Engineering, or Statistics, is required.
- Applicants without a master's degree must have an additional 4 years or more of relevant experience.
Experience:
- 12+ years of directly applicable experience in DoD Financial Management.
- 10+ years of experience with duties and assignments specifically supporting space programs (AFSPC or SSC experience is a plus).
- 8+ years of experience with CCAR.
- 3+ years of experience with FM Suite and WAWF.
- 5+ years of experience with MS Office.
