About the role

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to an Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel and our customers to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA, 19355

Schedule: 3rd Shift/ Sun–Thur 11:00pm - 7:30 am

Hourly Rate: $21.00/hr. + 15% shift differential ($3.15/hr.)= $24.15/hr.

What we’re looking for 

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required

  • Experience: Candidates should have a background in mechanics or a related field

  • Computer Proficiency: Strong computer skills are necessary.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude

  • High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures

  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward-thinking

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts

  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  • Perform calibrations for various machines, including pH meters and other laboratory equipment.

  • Responsible for ensuring all equipment is properly calibrated.

  • Collaborate with other associates to double-check calibration work. Record all activities in the Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN)

  • Open work orders and apply lockout tags if equipment cannot be calibrated.

  • Manage water bath changes, including draining, cleaning, and refilling.

  • Adhere to PPE requirements, including safety glasses, rubber gloves, lab coat, and steel-toe shoes.
