 South College Online seeks candidates for a full-time Department Chair in General Education. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a master’s degree in a General Education subject field such as Math, Psychology, Computer Literacy, or Sociology. Preference will be given to candidates who have successfully taught in the online format. The position is online remote and will report directly to the online Associate Campus Dean. 

The General Education Chair will teach twelve (12) college-level courses per year covering core courses in either Mathematics, Psychology, Computer Literacy, or Sociology at the bachelor’s level. The Department Chair will manage full-time and adjunct faculty who teach within the department of General Education. Other duties include overseeing the term schedule and all curriculum changes.
