About the role
JLL, an international real estate management company, is seeking an Sr. Data Engineer to join our JLL Technologies Team. We are seeking candidates that are self-starters who can work in a diverse and fast-paced environment. We are looking for a candidate to provide Azure Databricks, Python, PySpark, SparkSQL, Azure functions, Azure DevOps CI/CD along with Data Quality, Control M, SSMS expertise to design and build the required Solutions for our Clients. The team's mission is focused on accelerating technology adoption in commercial real estate by bringing creative, innovative, and technical solutions to solve large, complex problems for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Deep knowledge of cloud computing (Azure), enterprise application architecture, data architecture, and integration patterns.
- Expertise in migrating applications from on-premises to cloud infrastructure.
- Create ETL mapping and documenting data lineage for impact analysis.
- Design, Build and maintain data pipelines and systems that enable data analysis, machine learning, and business intelligence.
- Collect and collate data from multiple sources (external databases, APIs, and cloud storage), ensuring its accuracy and integrity when stored.
- Experience and knowledge of various data modeling methods like logical and physical data modeling, dimensional data modeling, and data vault modeling.
- Functionally lead team of data engineers to deliver data solutions in Agile manner while mentoring junior-level data engineers.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and transform them into scalable solutions.
- Contribute to product roadmap and priorities.
- Network with engineers at adjacent teams and facilitate alignment and information sharing.
- Continuously improve the development/delivery process
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve application development processes and tools.
- Mentor and guide software engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
- Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes) for automating software development and deployment processes
- Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g. Gen AI) and architectural patterns to enhance business value and competitive advantage.

Experience & Education
- Strong Experience with one or more public clouds such as Azure, AWS and GCP (Azure preferred).
- Strong knowledge and working experience in DW/BI, Data Engineering and/or Data Science using different tools and in different domains.
- Good knowledge of GitHub, Agile methodologies, and tools.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's/ master’s degree in computer science or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience
- Capable of rapid self-learning of new software applications and programming languages.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation.
Excellent technical, analytical, time management, and organizational skills. - Nice to have: Experience in Data Science, AI/ML - good understanding and demonstrated application of the concepts, various models, and algorithms.
- Nice to have: Experience in Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting tool.
