Head of Non-Agency Residential Mortgage Trading Strategy

Job Summary:

As an Executive Director of Non-Agency Residential Mortgage Trading Strategy within quantitative research, you will be responsible for all quantitative and technology related aspect of multibillion dollar trading business covering new issue whole loan trading, new issue RMBS securitization, non-agency securities trading.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support for efficient day to day loan level P&L calculation
• Designing hedging methodologies
• Provide loan level price based on whole loan pricing, deal execution pricing, rate sheet pricing.
• Create scripts that systematically deliver market analysis, trading activities and any other reports needed by trading team 
• Design and create scripts to streamline whole loan trading operations, including bidding, settling, funding, EPD, EPO, servicing transfer.
• Coordinate with technology team and modelling team regarding end of day risk calculation, and ensure all calculated risk are market contextual, and risk limits are satisfied.
• Liaison between trading team and modelling team on model enhancements.
• Coordinate with technology team regarding any need on trading system, P&L system, booking system, loan management system, etc.
• Facilitate calculation of stress capital requirement
• Train and lead new graduates with little to no experience to integrate into the trading team

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• At least10+ years in residential mortgage, with product knowledge including whole loan (Jumbo, Agency Investor, Bank Statement, DSCR, HELOC, 2nd Lien), and securities (New issue Jumbo, Derivatives, Legacy, SFR, Non QM, HELOC)
• Direct market exposure required, either as trader, assistance portfolio manager, desk analyst or similar capacities
• Experience with whole loan lock pipeline risk management
• Experience in structuring model, and deal arb calculation
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Proficiency in Intex calc, Bloomberg
• Some experience in python, SQL

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Experience in accounting, operation, servicing a plus but not required
