Primary Scheduled Hours: Day Shift, 80 hours per pay period
Job Summary: Compiles, analyzes, and reviews data to create reports on the financial performance of the facility. Conducts financial analysis to assess the facility's short- and long-term range goals. Uses accepted financial and accounting principles, theories and concepts. Responsible for budget development, capital requests, volume projections, revenue and expense analysis, payroll processing support, and accounts payable support. Understands adherence to GAAP, SAO standards, reimbursement methodologies, and cost structure.
Essential Job Functions:
- Strong working knowledge of payroll processes, liabilities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Ability to perform the payroll cycle without assistance as a backup to the primary payroll accountant.
- Strong working knowledge of the general ledger, account setup and how information flows into the financial statements.
- Compiles, analyzes and reviews data for financial reports; works with existing databases and/or performs research to complete financial reports requested by the different governing agencies.
- Prepares financial presentations: compiles data, develops drafts, outlines and files reports on a timely basis.
- Prepares reconciliation schedules for both balance sheet and income statement, such as for payroll, short- and long-term liabilities, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, cash accounts, revenue, and expenses, and analyzes various general ledger accounts as needed.
- Prepares month end and year end journal entries.
- Assists departmental managers in analyzing and interpreting financial data and the preparation of annual department budgets.
Education Background and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, intermediate to advanced Excel and Word, knowledge of Outlook, and at least 5 years of computerized accounting systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Recent experience in a healthcare facility preferred

Compensation/How We Care For You:
Successful candidates typically begin between the beginning and midpoint of the compensation range dependent on qualifications/experience and receive compensation in increments increases annually.
