We’re looking for a Senior Director, Technology Strategy to join our ever-evolving team to help us unleash the potential of every business. About the team
This team is a key pillar within our Authorization improvement efforts at Worldpay. In this role, you will own authorization-related dashboards and tooling. The team will drive development of the authorization tooling in line with user feedback. The team will require a technical product owner, who is equally comfortable with collaborating with wider business stakeholders and optimizing in line with business priorities, as they are engaging in technical content and guiding an engineering team on tooling roadmap, feature and issue prioritization, and driving swift progress.
What you will own:
Reporting to the Head of Optimization and Authorization, you will be responsible for leading a team of 2-3 engineers in this role.
Strategic Leadership
Shape and own the product roadmap and vision for authorization tooling, taking inputs and user-feedback from internal key stakeholders
Own the creation and prioritization of the product backlog for the suite of products
Guide engineers to deliver enhancements, fixes and features that are rapid in frequency and drive business value
Ensure blockers to development are identified and addressed (with escalation as needed)
Own progression of developments & features through to product ionization, working with engineering teams
Lead the future development of new standalone tools within the Authorization tooling roadmap (e.g., Near-time alerting)
Create and own definitions of key authorization metrics used across the tooling (e.g., calculation approach for re-tries)
Drive adoption of Authorization tools
Define release planning cycle for the team, and engage with wider business PI planning timelines to ensure any required capacity is allocated
Analytics and Insights:
Monitor usage statistics of authorization tooling to understand adoption and take appropriate action as needed
Use analytics to identify areas for improvement, bottlenecks, and opportunities
Team Leadership & Development:
Support a collaborative culture across the new Authorization structure, working closely with other team leads to avoid a siloing of the tooling capabilities
Establish and develop a strongly performing team driving continual enhancement of tooling suite
