Position Summary
The Clinical Support Specialist (CSS) will monitor patients in a recuperative care environment where unhoused patients come to heal from illnesses. This role will perform vitals, observe patients, monitoring patient self-medication under the protocol of the program and report changes to the nursing staff. The CSS will support patients with medical appointments, medical refills, and other medical supplies as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, equivalent required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
- Minimum of one year of medical assistant or CNA experience is preferred. Experience working Behavioral Health environment.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification required.
- Must have the ability to maintain detailed records, strong attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to work with diverse populations in a respite care program.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel computer skills required.
- Treats clients with respect and dignity.
- Assist and support the Center/Department/Program to meet standards of High Reliability.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Must meet employer requirements for auto insurance policy.
- Commitment to HIPAA and ability to abide by standards of professional ethics and maintain confidentiality.
- Adherence to infection control procedures, including but not limited to, standard precautions of temperature monitoring, hand washing, symptom self-monitoring, masking and social distancing.
