Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY
Plans, develops, and executes ongoing program(s) at the Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance (MVA) that impacts a significant segment of the organization under occasional guidance. Serves as program manager for Community Engagement to help facilitate and support a broad portfolio of inter-collaborative community-based for faculty at Meharry Medical College, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center

.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with coordinating internal and external Meharry-Vanderbilt program activities which may include education meetings, events, seminars, and workshops
  • Prepare informational materials and disseminate to appropriate audiences
  • Coordinate facilities and ensure logistics and materials are prepared for events and meetings
  • Provide support for Meharry-Vanderbilt Alliance activities which may include data collection, database management, basic data analysis, and the preparation of charts, graphs, and tables
  • May assist with drafting portions of grant proposals and project documents
  • Facilitate input from participant partners nationwide for ongoing evaluation of program materials.
  • Track and assess program impact including development of online surveys and evaluation reports.
  • Provide consistent communication and outreach to community members
  • Other duties as assigned Oversees the creation, coordination and execution of the program.
  • Provides budgetary management to the program.
  • Provides training and guidance for individuals supporting the program.
  • Promotes growth and expansion of the program.

• Program Management (Intermediate): Planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives.
• Financial Processes (Intermediate): Ability to monitor costs, expenses and revenue as well as the ability to manage those costs and expenses in relation to budgeted amounts.

• Peer Leadership (Intermediate): The ability to show leadership and influence people of equal rank in an effort to accomplish team goals.

• Quality Management (Intermediate): Developing a systematic process of checking to see whether a process or service is meeting specific requirements.
