What to do in a project? What challenges will you meet?

• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the backend improvements, database optimizations, integrations and performance of our product.

• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand requirements, testing scope, and acceptance criteria.

• Perform manual testing, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing, to validate complex backend functionality.

• Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems, and work closely with the development team to ensure timely resolution.

• Continuously improve the QA process by proposing and implementing best practices, tools, and methodologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals, testing timelines, and release plans.

• By agreement, there is an opportunity to participate in the program of attracting manual testers to test automation.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking experienced and dedicated QA Engineer focused on backend testing to join our software development team in a dynamic startup environment.

What professional skills are essential to us?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant working experience.

• Proven experience (3+ years) as a QA engineer or in a similar role, with a focus on backend testing.

• Experience in working with QA automation engineers, experience in autotests results analyzes.

• Experience testing client-server applications, integration testing.

• Working knowledge of API test tools (Postman).

• Capable of navigating huge manual and automated tests bases.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to logs analyzes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

• Structured work processes and knowledge of how to coordinate, plan and prioritize testing activities.

• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming, ability to read product code will be a plus.
  

Team size and structure?

We have structured our team around particular products. Typically, each team consists of 10-12 people, including front-end and back-end engineers, QA specialists, and analysts. A separate product owner is responsible for each team. Currently, we have a team of around 150 people.

The conditions:

Is there a probation period, and how long does it last? - Probation period lasts 3 months.

What is the work schedule? - Flexible working hours. Our working time zone is 08.00-14.00 (GMT), but it depends on the team, and can be flexible.

Is it possible to work remotely? - There is an opportunity to work fully remotely, we are a remote-first company, and we don't have offices.

What currency is the salary paid in, and what is the form of employment? 

Salary in dollars (employment under a B2B contract with the USA).

The number of vacation days? - 20 working days per year.

The number of sick leave days? - 3 days.
