As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records by performing a variety of accounting functions, including preparing month-end general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reports. You will leverage your thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze data, support audits, assist with property tax filings, and contribute to loan calculations, acquisition integrations, and other specialized projects.

In this role, you will work with tools like Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Excel to develop and maintain efficient reporting processes, while collaborating across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Your attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proactive approach will help drive accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review month-end general ledger account reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding or out-of-balance items.
  • Record accurate and timely journal entries for expenses, receivables, and accruals.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support property tax filings for the retail store network.
  • Perform loan calculations related to sales and purchases of individual franchise locations.
  • Contribute to acquisition integration activities and other special projects.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Qualifications in this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BA/BS)
  • 1+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of general accounting methods, principles, and practices
  • Experience with general ledger functions including AR, AP, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, charts, etc.)
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud or similar ERP systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience with Power Query is a big plus.
  • Prior experience in a multi-location retail or franchise environment.
  • Experience supporting acquisition integration or related special projects.
  • Familiarity with property tax filing processes.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation: Based on qualifications we anticipate the hiring range will be $68,000-$72,000
