About the role

Role description:

The Sr. Manager - HR Systems and Payroll is responsible for the oversight and execution of the North America HRIS and Payroll shared service team to ensure system compliance and that processes and services meet business needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create systems, processes, and controls to ensure compliance with all federal, local, and company policies
  • Develop and implement processes for HR systems and payroll for standardization and process improvements within the organization
  • Work with senior leadership and other stakeholders to plan and ensure support for organizational strategic objectives, leveraging system functionality wherever possible to ease administrative burden and build efficient and effective processes
  • Identify and analyze business needs and requirements to translate into effective business-appropriate technology improvements/modifications
  • Lead and/or participate in HR center of excellence, cross-functional project teams, to provide and implement effective system solutions to human resources and end users
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity within all HR systems through regular review and audit of data
  • Ensure responsive HR shared service (HRIS and Payroll) delivery and issue resolution for all levels of the organization
  • Partner with our HR IT Business Partners to ensure infrastructure and planning alignment
  • Partner with HR Functional Leaders within the organization to ensure payroll and systems meet expectations and are kept up to date with changing business needs
  • Oversight of HRIS and Payroll SOX compliance and control requirements are met while supporting internal and external auditor requests
  • Establish and implement team KPIs, objectives, and metrics
  • Lead and mentor the shared service team by providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
  • Manage third-party vendor relationships for HRIS and payroll

 

Minimum skills / qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field
  • Ten (10) years of experience with payroll, timekeeping, and other HR Systems
  • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience in project management resulting in streamlining of processes
  • Demonstrated experience in systems implementations and conversions
  • Proficient understanding of HR policies, best practices, and employee life-cycle
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
  • Effective interpersonal collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

 

Preferred skills / qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft, SAP SuccessFactors, and/or Kronos
  • Experience total HCM/HRIS implementation(s)
