Job DetailsJob Location: Building 2 - Rothschild, WI 54474Position Overview:
Wausau Tile is seeking a hardworking, energetic, quality- and safety-minded individual to support production operations within our Paving Department. This role is primarily responsible for operating the Seal Line to meet quality control requirements, but may also involve rotating across multiple stations including Blaster, Grinder, CNC, Vibro Takeoff, and Saws. The ideal candidate works well independently or as part of a team, is detail-oriented, and follows technical specifications and safety protocols precisely.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Operations:


Perform inventory transactions using MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
Operate, adjust, and clean production machinery to produce a variety of precast concrete pavers.
Rotate across several key production work centers as needed.
Monitor production quality and make necessary adjustments to meet specification standards.
Follow production paperwork, including blueprints, spec sheets, schedules, and instructions.
Ensure consistent, high-quality output of various paver styles, colors, and sizes.


2. Machine Set-Up & Operation:


Set up machines for daily or shift-based production runs.
Run machinery efficiently and troubleshoot minor issues.
Maintain clean and organized workstations.


3. Cross-Functional Support:


Assist in areas such as blasting, sealing, grinding, cutting, and CNC routing.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status, issues, and material needs.


4. Quality Assurance:


Ensure that all products meet quality control standards throughout each production stage.
Collaborate with inspection or quality control teams to address any deviations or concerns.


Physical Requirements:


Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, twisting, and kneeling.
Repetitive motions using hands, wrists, shoulders, back, and neck.
Lift, carry, and move objects up to 50 pounds in various directions.
Ability to ascend/descend ladders or stairs as needed.
Operate basic computer systems for production tracking or communication.
