Digital Media Specialist

General Summary:

The Gonzaba Foundation for Healthier Communities is a non-profit organization that aims to help improve the lives of older adults in San Antonio, Texas. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Digital Media Specialist position in the San Antonio area.

The Digital Media Specialist role is an integral part of the overall effectiveness of The Gonzaba Foundation. Under the guidance and direction of the Executive Director, the Digital Media Specialist will assist with all digital, media, and online or in-person event efforts that directly benefit the older adult population. This position will contribute and support all communication efforts to include social media, creative or digital projects, media relations, outreach, and all other initiatives for the foundation. Overall, this position will receive individual assignments from the Executive Director, provide digital support at in-person events to include tablings, management of all social media platforms, digital campaigns, and execute graphic design responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a multitasker, strategic thinker, possess excellent oral communication skills, and can meet multiple internal and external deadlines.

All duties performed will be done accurately and in a timely manner.

1. Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills.
2. Ability to travel – must have reliable transportation for commuting to and from the office to events, meetings, and fulfilling other day-to-day commitments or responsibilities.
3. Experience working in the healthcare field or non-profit sector.
4. Spanish-speaking – preferred.
5. Must be able to lift 20lbs.
6. Knowledge of Salesforce – Preferred

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Manages and schedules digital or media content for daily/weekly social media posts.
2. Coordinates all digital content that ensures the foundation’s online presence is dynamic, engaging, relevant, and mission-driven.
3. Provide ongoing content coordination of The Gonzaba Foundation’s website and social media platforms through graphic design efforts in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, or other similar software and programs.
4. Help provide conceptual ideas and framework for physical flyers, social media posts, website content, and any other projects assigned.
5. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines for all digital, creative, and graphic design tasks, including seasonal initiatives or campaigns.
6. Help translate written English content, messaging, and communication to Spanish.
7. Capture photos and/or videos taken at in-person functions and maintain photo files for ongoing use; and, additionally, create, edit and upload photos or videos to website and social media outlets via Facebook Meta Business Suite or another platform.
8. Tracks online Google analytics and supports internal and external data reporting needs.
9. Assists with administrative duties to include answering phones, taking messages, conducting intake processes, and email correspondence.
10. Compile weekly and monthly reports and present overall social media performances, reach, engagement, audience, and cadence.
11. Must be able to complete all ongoing or pending projects, initiatives, and other duties as assigned in a timely manner.
12. Help develop and manage the intake and referral process in Salesforce. Clients may be referred via email, phone call, in-person, or through a third-party organization.
13. Attend, coordinate, and help execute Gonzaba Foundation events. This involves organizing, set-up, breakdown, organizing run-of-show, and other event logistics as needed.
