JOB TITLE: Big Data Software Engineer
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
JOB LOCATION: 300 North Point Pkwy, Alpharetta, GA 30005 [Hybrid]
DUTIES: Design, build, and present on-prem to Data transformation solutions, systems, and applications to address customer needs. This will be tailored to projects related to the Telecommunications industry with specific functional components like: Billing, sales, finance, network, inventory, customer profiling, marketing, etc. Need Snowflake technical expertise by understanding business challenges and architecting Data warehouse solutions powered using Snowflake to address them. Leverage expertise in Snowflake’s Data Cloud and the latest advancements in data migration and customized solutions to build POCs and prototypes that demonstrate value to clients. Learn and leverage the latest Snowflake public release features in our CDO Snowflake Team to collaborate on creating leading edge demos, PoC’s, and advanced industry solutions. Stay updated on the latest advancements in data platform technologies and all the rapidly evolving Data, and snowflake Native Apps capabilities, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into CDO customer solutions. Develop technical presentations and conduct workshops and hackathons to share expertise on Data engineering best practices. Work closely with User Migration team, solution architects, and data managers to drive technical solutioning and develop complex Snowflake powered data solutions into business impact. Apply Snowflake development experience in Data Engineering and architecting, building, and demonstrating data solutions. Use telecommunications industry related reporting and data integration. Integrate Snowflake solutions with the major cloud platforms and leveraging their pre-built capabilities. utilize Snowflake, Azure cloud, reference architectures and Building PoC. Build robust data engineering frameworks, Azure cloud, python/JAVA/Scala, and Data bricks (Apache Spark). Employ Snowflake Data engineering best practices around data modelling, evaluation, deployment, and governance. Work with Data engineers, Architects, and operation engineers. identify and articulate the business value of data powered technologies to stakeholders. Use relational database design/Datawarehouse/Data Engineering Development. Utilize an understanding of Telecommunications industry terminology, understanding of billing and order processing related to a large telecommunications company. Utilize an understanding of database and application usage patterns and mechanisms to obtain that information. Perform detail analysis on CDO initiatives to determine a proper design and resolution to requirements, engagement with business users resolving requirements and strategies. Use deep analytic skills to turn requirements into Snowflake / cloud enabled feasible solutions. Handle project support tasks like development, testing, user validations and production implementations.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration or Data Analytics and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in a related occupation applying Snowflake development experience in Data Engineering and architecting, building, and demonstrating data solutions; using telecommunications industry related reporting and data integration; integrating Snowflake solutions with the major cloud platforms and leveraging their pre-built capabilities; utilizing Snowflake, Azure cloud, reference architectures and Building PoC; building robust data engineering frameworks, Azure cloud, python/JAVA/Scala, and Data bricks (Apache Spark); employing Snowflake Data engineering best practices around data modelling, evaluation, deployment, and governance; working with Data engineers, Architects, and operation engineers; identifying and articulating the business value of data powered technologies to stakeholders; using relational database design / Datawarehouse/Data Engineering Development; utilizing an understanding of Telecommunications industry terminology, understanding of billing and order processing related to a large telecommunications company; and utilizing an understanding of database and application usage patterns and mechanisms to obtain that information.
