Job Description:
A Software Engineer Intern assists engineering teams in building, testing, and debugging applications. They write code, design features, and learn industry’s best practices while tackling real-world projects. This role provides on-the-job training and exposure to software development life cycles (SDLC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Coding & Development: Write and modify clean, efficient code using languages like Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
- Testing & Debugging: Develop unit tests, run test suites, and identify/troubleshoot software bugs.
- Team Collaboration: Work within Agile teams alongside experienced developers, product managers, and UX designers.
- Learning & Prototyping: Experiment with new technologies, APIs, and frameworks (e.g., AI/ML tools) to build proof-of-concept prototypes.
- Documentation: Assist in maintaining technical documentation and writing specs for future development

Pay Range:
Pay Range $35,750.00 - $64,625.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
