As a pivotal member of the ALA management committee, the Operations Control Manager maintains an independent analytical stance to effectively guide business decisions. This role involves coordinating target setting and delivering analysis based on thorough assessments of the business results and historical data. This role is crucial in managing risk and overseeing investment control processes, ensuring optimal alignment with the group's strategic objectives.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Implement and refine operational strategies that enhance organisational performance and minimise risk
  • Engage in comprehensive strategic planning and manage initiatives that bolster our financial metrics such as gross margin and net earnings
  • Develop and manage effective business rules, conduct financial comparisons, and ensure robust financial planning and forecasting processes are in place
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Operational Control team, ensuring all members are equipped with necessary training and tools to perform optimally
  • Play a key role in financial planning and analysis to drive profitability and ensure the company meets it's financial targets
  • Work closely with the MD, Cluster and Entity Senior Management teams to define forecasts and targets, and have direct impact on our operational and strategic outcomes

Are you a MATCH?

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Commerce
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with financial forecasting and strategy development
  • Excellent people management and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of industrial gas business and operations
  • Understanding of ERP and BI systems
