We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II.

The Mid river maintenance area consists of 4 Steam Methane Reformers (SMR), and 1 Hydrogen off gas facility. The sites are in Convent, Garyville, Norco, Luling and Taft.

These sites provide Hydrogen via pipeline to refineries and chemical plants across Louisiana and Texas. The maintenance team supports the area. 

You will have an extremely high safety focus and aptitude. You will have a strong safety orientation and an exemplary safety record. Knowledge of safety issues pertaining to plant tasks is a top priority.

Required Skills / Abilities: 

• Experience in performing preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, pumps, reciprocating compressors, and mechanical equipment is essential for this position.

• A background in rotating machinery and plant maintenance.

• Ability to read and work from blueprints.

• Ability to follow safe work practices and standard operation procedures.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, process pumps, gear drives, fans, vessels, and heat exchangers, all involving a variety of fluids and gases in the Mid river maintenance area.

• Use of precision measuring tools, alignment equipment, ability to read isometric drawings, understand pumps and compressors.

• Develop work scopes for equipment repair and overhaul.

• Participate actively in department/plant safety programs.

• Promote safety rules and regulations as well as environmental compliance.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

• A high school diploma or GED is required.

• A trade school, technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred but is not required.

• A valid driver’s license is required.

• Ability to travel: 5%.
