Receiving Technician - 1st Shift

About the role
Work Flexibility: Onsite
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
Overtime based on business needs
On call responsibilities
What you will do -
- Supports unloading return equipment daily from scheduled deliveries
- Supports unboxing and removes shipping labels to travel with product until each item is received
- Receives in and decontaminates medical devices, consoles, and components in accordance with our quality management system
- Maintains accurate records/documentation related to quality, work-in-progress,, labor (e.g., timecards)
- Reports all equipment and process related problems to area supervisor including events and circumstances which could affect product quality, cost, and employee safety
- Works with engineers and technicians to resolve returns issues and suggests improvements
- Flexibility and willingness to work overtime, including but not limited to weekend work
- Completion of training on time. Meeting daily with supervisor and team lead to prioritize daily business
- Collaborating and problem solving with peers
- Adhere to FDA and OSHA regulations
- Incorporates lean 6 principles in their daily work
- Has functional knowledge of computer skills: Using an ERP system to move product systematically
- Able to assess the state of returned product against quality procedures to determine if it can be put to stock or scrapped.
- Ships out consoles and units to specified vendors
- Create jobs for returned products that need to go back to stock
- Transport products from Returns area to Production floor
- Ensures serial number received is serial number expected per order
- Supports the receipt of all products associated with the following order types – credit returns, repairs, and trials both domestic and international
- Tracks all items returned that show up missing necessary information to receive
- Partners cross-functionally with Customer Care, Regulatory, Quality, Depot, and Production teams to ensure processes are followed and equipment flows
- Ensures all equipment returned on complaints is received in both our ERP and Quality system to be properly investigated
- Functional understanding of basic research steps using our ERP system to determine next steps when a return unit does not have a matching open return order
What you need -
- 2+ years of experience - required
- Related work experience in a demanding and fast-paced environment -preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent - required
- Associates Degree - preferred
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs. - required
- Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend and evening call as needed - required
