The successful candidate will lead and contribute to the implementation of strategies for the discovery and validation of targets in ophthalmology. You will participate in a team of scientists to lead various activities, including target identification/validation and drug discovery using in vitro, in vivo, or omics methodologies to evaluate pharmacology in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders/experts. Emphasis is on the ability to perform hands-on work successfully, demonstrate scientific leadership skills, and interact in a team environment. The candidate will be responsible for setting up glial cell models to ID and validate targets for retinal diseases. Prior experience in ophthalmology, neuroscience, cell-based phenotypic assays, complex in vitro models (iPSC-derived cells, co-culture, organoids), multi-omics, or drug development is an asset.
