Senior Underwriter

<p><b>Position Summary:</b></p>The Senior Transactional Liability Underwriter is responsible for underwriting complex transactions, identifying growth opportunities, proposing initiatives for risk mitigation, and ensuring accurate entries in connection with M&amp;A transactions. The role monitors regulatory changes and cultivates a collaborative environment by providing guidance to underwriters. They provide actionable insights to senior management, implement quality assurance measures, and navigate complex legal landscapes by leveraging understanding of warranties &amp; indemnity, tax &amp; contingence insurance.<h1></h1><p></p><p><b>Location:</b></p>Frankfurt - Germany<p></p><p></p><p><b>What will your job entail?</b></p><p>Job responsibilities</p><ul><li>Underwriting of new prospects as well managing renewals of financial lines insurances (comprising of either D&amp;O, Financial Institutions, (professional) liability, Crime and Cyber or a combination thereof)</li><li>Taking responsibility of the management, development and growth of a subsegment within the RFL book</li><li>Monitors regulatory changes, market shifts and other trends which are relevant for (segment within) RFL, either from (new) business or risk perspective</li><li>Expert sparring partner for brokers and clients on (sub) segments within RFL value propositions</li><li>Ensures proper and timely entries in underwriting systems to track exposures, analyzes trends, and supports in the implementation of RFL underwriting strategy<span>.</span></li><li>Create and/or maintain long-term business relationships with the relevant broker community and markets</li><li>Cultivates a collaborative and efficient underwriting environment, provides expert guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to junior <span>underwriters.         </span></li></ul><p></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Demonstrable underwriting experience in one or more of the aforesaid lines of business</li><li>Master degree (preferred) or Bachelor+ degree in (insurance) law, finance, risk-management or other relevant field</li><li>In-depth knowledge of one or more lines of business within the RFL segment</li><li>Ability to further expand footprint within the broking community in the DACH region (and preferably EE) based upon existing relationships</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Disclaimer</b></p><p>Ryan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
