About the role

A qualified candidate's 2-pg resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-12). Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting at least 2 of the following: Design, deploy, and/or manage large-scale highly available enterprise IT environments for the purpose of infrastructure modernization strategies, managing hardware/software lifecycles, capacity forecasting, and/or performance optimization. Lead end-to-end administration of enterprise operating systems (i.e. Windows Server, desktop environments), directory services (i.e. Active Directory, Entra, identity and access management), enterprise storage systems (i.e. SAN, HCI, vSAN) and/or virtualization platforms (i.e. VMware, Citrix). Implement and/or enforce principles/directives/standards and/or components for Zero Trust (i.e. EO 14028, PIV, MFA, CBA), Federal or energy sector requirements (i.e. FISMA, BODs, SCuBA baselines, WECC, NERC, CIP, CVA). Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
