Sr. UX/UI Designer

Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a highly motivated Sr. UX/UI Designer to join our team.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillsets, work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGS’ capabilities. The Sr. UX/UI Designer shall follow a lean user’s experience (UX) process and design the user interface and experience to support the Cloud Software Management Services and Migration teams in a culture of continuous integration and continuous delivery.

Job Responsibilities

As the Sr. UI/UX Designer you will contribute to the following areas:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define user interface requirements and design innovative user experiences.
• Develops and implements strategic vision for user interface designs, wireframes, prototypes, and specifications.
• Ensure that design concepts are aligned with user needs and mission outcomes.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and other user-centered design activities.
• Create and maintain design guidelines, templates, and style guides.
• Work with developers to ensure that design concepts are implemented accurately and efficiently.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, and apply this knowledge to the design process.

 

 Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Design Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in UI/UX design, product design and/or enterprise application fields or relevant customer-facing job roles.
• Expertise in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite/XD and Rapid prototyping tools like Invision, Axure RP, Figma, Sketch, or Baslmiq etc.
• Proven experience in user research, usability testing, and design thinking.
• Strong visual design skills with a focus on clean, modern design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create interfaces for clients, work closely to map customer journey and determine client needs
• Possess and experience utilizing excellent oral and written communication skills with direct communication to customers and end-users
• Familiar working with design systems
• Experience in sizing and prototyping

 Nice to have experience:

• Active Government Security Clearance

• Relevant industry certifications desirable

• Experience with W3C web design standards and technologies, including CSS, HTML 5, JavaScript
