Senior Civil Engineer

Civil Engineering professional with 7+ years of accomplishment in designing Civil projects. This individual interfaces with client engineering representatives and other Valdes' discipline engineers.  

Responsibilities

• Display an advanced knowledge within the Civil Engineering discipline
• Provide generally accepted practices with project management, design and quality control procedures.
• Engage in design production to ensure complete, quality, and timely deliverables.
• Verify field conditions, constructability of designs, and assist in resolving problems during field construction
• May be required to participate in short, or long term, field assignments
• Participate in the pursuit of new clients and project opportunities including client interactions, fee estimating and proposal writing.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced engineers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of experience working as a Civil Engineer
• Must hold Professional registrations (PE)
• Advanced knowledge of Civil Engineering
• Strong Microsoft Office software skills
• Strong AutoCAD / Civil 3D software skills. MicroStation experience is a plus.
• Possess report writing skills to create civil evaluation and stormwater reports.
• Intermediate understanding of other discipline workflow and how all departments work together to complete projects
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
