Maintenance Tech

SUMMARY:     Maintenance Tech is responsible for completing task necessary to keep the Casino areas in good condition while making necessary repairs.  This position may be expose to extreme heat, cold and all types of weather also may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, heights, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or acerbic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock, therefore all precautions must be utilized when performing these duties.   Position relates to Handy-man type skills.  The ultimate objective of this position is to help advance the Seminole Nation by delivering value and signature moments every day.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Creates and supports a work environment/culture focused on building high-trust relationships by extending support and respect to all.

1. Help with setup of all special events.

1. Reports & maintains routine minor electrical and plumbing maintenance such as changing light bulbs, unclogging toilets, and other minor issues.

1. Complete routine handy-man repairs such as touching up paint, painting, repairing drywall, mowing grass, and edging, changing AC filters.

1. Be able to perform mechanical troubleshooting.

1. Maintain mowers, weed eaters, and other equipment used to perform grounds maintenance and will be using the equipment to keep each facility looking its best.

1. Be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all parking areas and all grounds surrounding the facilities in all types of weather, including de-icing as needed.

1. Assist in maintaining the company vehicles by ensuring proper fluid levels are maintained and all vehicle maintenance is performed.

1. Complies with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.

1. Interacts with guests and fellow employees in a professional and courteous manner.

1. Performs all other duties, functions, and activities incident to the position of Maintenance personnel or as may be required by the Project/Maintenance Manager.  

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

The job can be learned in days, weeks, or months.  Equivalent to a high school education. Three to twelve months of similar or related experience relevant to the job duties.

MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITY:

Has no supervisory responsibility.

PROBLEM SOLVING:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.  Must be a Team Player. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing, repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping, recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. Occasionally lifts heavy objects over 50 pounds.

WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:

The job is performed indoors/outdoors with frequent exposure to loud noises and fumes (e.g., cigarette smoke).  This is a high pace work environment, and you must be a self-motivator and willing to learn new tasks.
