Your way to impact:
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in the team, you will be leveraging your extensive technical expertise and practical experience in AI/ML to lead substantive discussions with technical and data science teams, guiding them through the intricacies of functional definition, architecture, solution implementation, and integration within complex environments and mentoring of junior engineers. You will be responsible for developing industry-leading experiences that bring unquestionable value to both merchants and buyers. You will use your years of technical expertise and a solid understanding of the business domain to help us improve the scale, reliability, and performance of our platforms.

Your day-to-day:

• Design and deploy scalable generative AI solutions, Data Analysis based decision making, productize ML models that enhance PayPal's ability to provide a seamless customer experience
• Design and deploy scalable generative AI solutions as part of the ecosystem.
• Lead architectural discussions and contribute to overall technical direction, advocating for best practices and innovative solutions.
• Optimize software performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks via monitoring, logging, and metrics to enhance the user experience.
• Act as a strong advocate for clean and scalable principles and practices in all areas, including coding, documentation, automation, etc.
• Be a champion of high-performing, secure, and reliable software services
• Identify critical non-functional requirements for the work your team prioritizes (Availability, Security, Performance, Scalability, and Observability), and implement them with your team.
• Collaborate and communicat
