Position Summary/Details:

Business Planning Operations Co-Op

Exposure to key Financial Systems, Month-End Close, Business Planning Operations, Day to Day business operation expense planning.  Duties increase in complexity based upon the student’s interest and aptitude.

Accountabilities:

  • Financial Reporting

  • Ad hoc analysis, reporting, presentations

  • Preparing Journal Entries

  • General administrative tasks

 

Physical Location of Co-op: TEC Eastern Service Area – ECC Building, located at 820 S. 78th Street, Tampa, FL 33619

Working Conditions - Mostly in a normal office environment

Preferred Availability: Part – Time (20-30 hours)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  

The successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.

Co-Op Requirements:

To qualify as a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.

Degree: Finance, Business, Accounting

Year in School: Junior

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong MS Excel skills.

  • Requires someone who is a self-starter, quick learner, has great attention to detail and is collaborative.

  • Someone who loves analytics and the ability to consider financial impacts of their strategy is a plus.
