Senior Software Engineer, R&D, Cloud Platform (Atlanta, GA)

Job Description

Senior Software Engineer, R&D, Cloud Platform positions offered by Manhattan Associates, Inc. (Atlanta, Georgia). Analyze, design, develop, test, debug, and/or support specific component of supply chain computer software products for end-user application.  Use current programming languages and technologies to write code and complete programming and documentation for installation and maintenance, and develop/perform unit testing and debugging of assigned components following R&D development processes.  Design and develop components from detailed design specifications utilizing knowledge of dependencies, interfaces and services required.  Evaluate and resolve software/configuration issues with assigned components.  Facilitate technology and skills knowledge transfer within the team.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a four-year bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in computer science, engineering or a related technical field and 3 years of experience in the position offered or 3 years of experience developing, supporting, or implementing application software. Requires 2 years of experience: working with Oracle, MySQL, or DB2 databases; developing with Java; and working in Linux or UNIX operating systems. Requires 1 year of experience: developing with Spring or similar frameworks; using containerization tools; and utilizing WebSphere, Jboss, Tomcat, or WebLogic application servers. Position reports to Atlanta, GA office. Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.
