About the role
Nashville General Hospital is hiring for a PRN Forensic Registered Nurse (RN), Med/Surg in Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville General Hospital seeks to hire an experienced Forensic Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical Surgical Unit who will embrace our commitment to providing quality care to every patient and family member. This is an 18-bed unit with a 4:1 patient ratio.
As a Forensic RN you will:

- Compassionately communicating with patients and family members.
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Administering medication and treatments
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Running and ordering tests
- Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists
- Charting Patient Progress
- Paying attention to detail and staying organized when managing patient care and record keeping
- Admitting and assessing patients
- Compassionately communicating with patients and family members.
- Administering medication and treatments
- Monitoring vital signs and symptoms
- Running and ordering tests
- Coordinating care with Physicians and Specialists
- Charting Patient Progress
- Understanding applicable state regulations and following compliance practices
- Assessing patient condition and noting it accurately according to the facility’s charting practices
- Graduate of an accredited associate degree, Diploma, or Baccalaureate Degree program in Nursing Preferred.
- Current Licensure or permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state.
- Employee must have valid BLS upon hire. ACLS, Chemotherapy Competency and CPI are required within 90 days of hire.
