Data Science Intern (Summer 2024)

If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Product Development Product Lines team based in Houston, Texas, USA.

 

About the Job   

• Develop prediction/classification models using machine learning algorithms.
• Optimize machine learning models by adjusting hyperparameters, using regularization techniques, etc.
• Visualize the results of machine learning models using graphs, dashboards, etc.
• Participate in projects using programming languages such as Python.
• Work in teams with R&D, Technology, and more to solve complex data problems.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges and possible solutions for ongoing projects.

 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Education: 
  • Pursuing Bachelors in Data Science or related field, candidates must have Sophomore completed prior to internship start date.
• Skills: 
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to solve complex data problems and find creative solutions.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • Autonomy and ability to work independently.
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for data science and data analysis.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of programming languages, particularly Python.
• Mathematical and statistical skills to understand machine learning models.
