Job Summary:
The Material Program Manager (MPM) will be responsible for managing Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) activities in the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) business in support of the Strike Initiatives program Area. The MPM position will support the Specter portfolio that manages the material for multiple contracts in various phases (development, production, etc).
This MPM role will serve as the interface between Supply Chain and the Program Office/Integrated Product Team (IPT) working on both development and production contracts. Key responsibilities include the following: supplier material management, material forecasting, ensuring cost and schedule requirements are met, creating metrics to monitor GSCM health, supplier assessments and future proposal activities.
The successful candidate is a self-starter capable of program support, with proven effective leadership in a cross-functional environment. You’re able to lead and influence cross-functional teams. This person will be responsible for Estimate at Completion (EAC’s), proactive procurement strategies, management of AOP including MFT and R&O, and program metrics across contracts.
This position is an onsite role.
What You Will Do:
Drive processes to successful completion in support of a very aggressive schedule of deliveries
Oversight of GSC proposal execution performance and reporting
MRP support and production alignment in support of Operations execution
Use critical thinking skills to propose sound and innovative business solutions to increase operational efficiencies to insure business area and program success.
Must have the capability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
Process information from multiple sources to achieve a successful outcome
Have the passion and desire for continuous learning
Identify/Generate material R&Os in alignment with program execution
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in managing suppliers and/or projects
Experience using manufacturing or enterprise planning tools, including but not limited to MRP (Kinaxis/ SAP/PRISM)
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Prior experience working in the defense industry within the supply chain function
Have strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Experience in desktop computing tools (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Project)
Experience leading or participating in cross-functional teams
Organizational capabilities and be detail oriented
Strong executive presence and reporting skills
