We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated engineer to join us in developing complex analytical software for catastrophe risk management. Your team will be responsible for all stages of the development process, from reviewing requirements, to design, development, testing and deployment. We are looking for a candidate who can learn new knowledge quickly, pick up new technologies faster, apply their newly acquired skills, and adapt to evolving requirements.

Expectations:

•    Expertise in object-oriented programming languages (C#, or C++)
•    Excellent level at object-oriented design 
•    Experience in design and develop Microsoft SQL server database schemas, store procs
•    Familiar with Ux
•    Knowledge of test automation
•    Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
•    Understanding of DevOps activities
•    Positive attitude with eagerness to learn new technologies
•    Creative and innovative problem solver of highly complex issues
•    Work well under pressure in an ever-fluctuating environment
•    Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
 

Qualifications

•    BS or MS in computer science or equivalent
•    Minimum 5 years of work experience in developing commercial software product

Nice to have:

•    Strong math or analytical background
•    Experience with object-relational mapping solutions (Hibernate, EntityFramework)
•    Experience with Microsoft WPF 
•    Experience working in an agile environment
