You will focus on building and maintaining tools, platforms, and processes that improve the overall developer experience. Your work will involve close collaboration with developers, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of development workflows.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Developer Experience Enhancements: </b>Work on projects to improve developer productivity using tools such as Backstage to create internal developer portals and improve developer workflows.</li><li><b>Vendor Collaboration &amp; Tool Evaluation: </b>Interact with third-party vendors to evaluate and new and existing software development tools. Conduct thorough assessments of vendor tools, understanding their fit with current systems, and advocating for the best solutions that improve developer productivity and system efficiency.</li><li><b>Collaboration &amp; Mentorship: </b>Work closely with engineering teams to understand their needs and provide solutions. Mentor junior team members, providing guidance on best practices for DevOps.</li><li><b>Infrastructure Automation &amp; Management: </b>Use Terraform/OpenTofu and automation frameworks to provision and manage infrastructure.</li><li><b>Monitoring &amp; Observability: </b>Configure and utilise observability tools like Datadog for performance monitoring, alerting, and visualisation, ensuring system reliability and quick identification of issues.</li><li><b>Performance Optimisation: </b>Continuously monitor the performance of the tools and services and implement optimisations to improve build times, system uptime, and deployment frequency.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Skills and Experience:</b></p><ul><li><b>Programming Proficiency: </b>Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C#, etc.).</li><li><b>CI/CD Tools: </b>Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab and Jenkins.</li><li><b>Cloud Platforms: </b>Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.</li><li><b>Monitoring Tools: </b>Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog, Prometheus.</li><li><b><span>Problem-Solving: </span></b>Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize systems.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits</b>:</p><p></p><p>We are looking for intellectually curious people, passionate about the bigger picture of how technology industry is evolving, ready to ask difficult questions and deal with complicated scenarios!
