Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Sr. Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, F135 Fan CIPT to support the Compressions Systems Organization (CSE). The CSE OME CIPT is responsible for cross-functional activity on Fan Composite Hardware and will be responsible for coordinating with various engineering and operations organizations, including Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Program Management Office, ESTO (Engineering Support to Operations), Production Chiefs, and Suppliers.

What You Will Do

  • Continuously evaluate compression systems hardware on program Critical Parts Lists (CPL) and understand value stream and key process elements for parts at risk
  • Integrate various data sources to resolve identified issues, develop plans and execute corrective actions
  • Manage execution following the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) standards and Earned Value Management
  • Generate presentation material and report out to program senior leadership and engineering executive leadership
  • Implement producibility, quality, and operations improvement plans to meet customer delivery commitments, execute program-critical milestones, and support business objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 10 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced degree in engineering with 7 years of engineering experience.
  • 2 years of experience leading, mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers. 
  • 2 years of experience in engaging in cross-functional teams and knowing when/where to get help.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or aviation industry experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree.
  • Experience working with Aftermarket and/or Overhaul operations and Customer Support functions.
  • Compressions systems engineering hardware experience.
  • Experience working with suppliers and designing for producibility.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement principles and tools (i.e., LEAN, CORE, ACE, or Six-Sigma).

Compression Systems Engineering (CSE)

Compression Systems Engineering is responsible for the design, development, and in service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.

Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.
