We offer a hybrid 3-2 work schedule (three days in the office, two days of teleworking) to accommodate the need for flexibility.

Job Summary
The Dominion Energy Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) Organization is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented engineering intern to join our Offshore Wind Operations Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the optimization and sustainability of the largest offshore wind facility in the United States. Once constructed off the coast of Virginia Beach, Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) will produce 2.6GW of electricity, enough energy to power up to 660,000 homes. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in engineering analysis, operational support, and problem solving within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with performance monitoring and data analysis of offshore wind turbines.
- Support the development of maintenance strategies and schedules to optimize asset performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on research and development initiatives related to wind energy technologies.
- Participate in inspections and site visits to gain exposure to field operations.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of process improvements for operational efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Strong interest in renewable energy.
- Basic knowledge of wind turbine systems and power generation (preferred, but not required).
- Familiarity with mechanical and/or electric engineering principles.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong organization skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Education Requirements
- Enrolled in an Engineering degree program from an ABET accredited program.
- Preferred majors: Mechanical, Electrical, Renewable Energy, or related engineering degree
- Students should have a graduation date of Spring 2026 or 2027.
- Must have a 2.5 GPA or greater.
